Salesforce Brings Agentforce Sales to ChatGPT


Salesforce has officially launched its Agentforce Sales app inside ChatGPT, allowing sales reps to access, analyze, and update Salesforce directly with OpenAI’s conversational interface.Ā 

The integration – first announced at Dreamforce – marks a major step in bringing autonomous agents into everyday workflows and removing the ā€œtoggle taxā€ that often slows down sales teams.

The First Step Toward Conversational CRM

The core value of the new app is its ability to bring Salesforce’s proprietary business context directly into ChatGPT. Usually, using AI in sales means manually pasting in unstructured information like notes, company descriptions, and so on.Ā 

With Agentforce, that context will now live inside the conversation from the start. A sales rep, for example, can ask, ā€œShow me my uncontacted leadsā€, and ChatGPT will instantly retrieve a live list from Salesforce without needing to search or filter.

The new app also delivers AI-powered prioritization. Instead of relying solely on CRM fields, ChatGPT will combine Salesforce data with real-world signals such as industry trends or relevant news coverage.

If a seller queries what deal they should be focusing on next, the system will evaluate pipeline health, historical interactions, and external context to surface the best opportunity in that moment. It’s one of the first times these two types of intelligence have been merged in this way for sales workflows.

Execution is another key aspect of the new app, taking actions on command rather than just providing advice. Reps can assign low-priority leads to agents, update opportunity statuses, or request a full account plan – including KPIs, risks, and growth opportunities – and have it saved straight back into Salesforce. This ultimately will reduce the time spent navigating dashboards and record pages, opening up time for reps to actually do some selling.
